At Inverted Camp, North Macedonia you'll have the chance to meet new people, explore exotic natural locations, and train in the open air. With over 20 hours of Gi and No-Gi Jiu Jitsu classes, as well as aerial arts training, workshops, and lectures, you'll have plenty of opportunities to hone your skills. Marko Ilievski

One of the First Macedonian BJJ Black Belts

More than just one of the first handful of Macedonian BJJ black belts, Marko is also the person behind the first officially registered Macedonian craft beer brewery. You can thank him for both the lessons on the mat and the craft beers at beach bar. Ask him what color your belt is.

Ognen Dzabirski

Jiu Jitsu & Ginastica Natural Instructor

Involved heavily in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for the more than a decade, Macedonia’s first full-time BJJ coach will the way you approach grappling with and without the Gi. Will try to arrange every open mat playlist if not stopped. Reacts favorably when exposed to coffee and beer.

Sofija Stojanovska

Jiu Jitsu Instructor

She will smile, Then, she will submit you from mount. Then, she will smile some more. A highly skilled purple belt in BJJ, Sofi is also a very experienced teacher. She also comes up with the most fun workshops imaginable! Try to miss her bright green jeep on the Macedonian highways.

Ana Denkovska

Massage Therapis

The person that will help keep our bodies from falling apart during 7 days of training. Also, an accomplished aerialist, Ana will perform massage therapy for camp participants on a very special location. Mother figure for everyone at camp, especially for the organizers.

Maja Krsteska

Aerialist & Co-founder of Inverted Camp

Macedonia’s very first Aerialist, and co-founder of Inverted Camp. If there was ever a jack-of-all-trades in Aerial Arts, it is Maja – she is a master of Silks, Sling and everything in between, including performing on her custom-made Spiral (named Roti). Has a somewhat good taste in music.

Founder & Head Instructor of the Flow Yoga Studio, Skopje

A certified Ashtanga Yoga instructor, Veki does to herself what it takes two people to do in BJJ. With some patience and work, you can learn how to do the same-ish (ok, ok, let’s manage expectations here). Founder and head instructor of the Flow Yoga studio in Skopje. Let’s all get together and convince her to hold a Yoga Nidra session at camp.

Demir Kapija

Demir Kapija is a charming town in North Macedonia known for its stunning natural beauty, rich history, and wine production. The Vardar River Gorge offers stunning views and is a popular spot for hiking, climbing, and nature photography. The town is home to several wineries that offer wine tastings and tours. The local grape variety is called “Vranec,” which produces a full-bodied and rich red wine. The area around Demir Kapija has been inhabited since ancient times and is home to several historical landmarks, including the ancient Roman city of Stobi. The local cuisine is a mix of Balkan and Mediterranean influences, with an emphasis on fresh ingredients and grilled meat dishes.

The Training Facilities

The training facilities for both Aerial Arts and BJJ are on location, open air, but covered for protection from sun/rain/wind. The BJJ mat area is 120 square meters, and there are 3-4 Aerial Arts specialty constructions that accommodate 2–4 practitioners at the same time on each.
