The Hotel Gran Melia de Mar has been exclusively booked for the festival and will feature 5 days and nights of BJJ and yoga seminars. With 5 BJJ seminars and 7 yoga classes per day, this camp is perfect for you, whether you want to solely train BJJ, focus on your yoga practice, or curate your own combination of the two! All of this takes place alongside the warm, crystal-clear Mediterranean sea.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Instructors

Mauricio Gomes

8th degree White and Red Belt

Maurício Gomes, also known as Maurição, was a famous Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitor who was active during the 1970’s and 1980’s decades. He belongs to the elite group of black belts awarded the rank by the late Rolls Gracie.

Clark Gracie

2nd Degree Black Belt

Clark is an American-Brazilian BJJ black belt living in San Diego California where he operates his own school (Clark Gracie, San Diego HQ) in addition to numerous schools around the globe. Clark is a world champion and has won gold at the Masters World No-Gi Championships in 2018, gold at the Pan American Gi championships in 2013, and silver at the World No-GI championships in 2012, to name a few.

Daniel Strauss

2nd Degree Black Belt

This Roger Gracie Black Belt no-gi specialist trains out of the Mill Hill BJJ academy in London England. If you are having trouble hitting the guillotine, be sure to catch his classes because, just maybe, he will be teaching it and many of his other techniques, principles, concepts, and BJJ philosophies.

Ross Nicholls

1st Degree Black Belt

Ross is a world-class level BJJ competitor and Roger Gracie Black belt with notable wins over the likes of Nathan Orchard and Gianni Grippo. Ross is also ADCC European qualifier for 2019.

Jamill Kelly

2004 Olympic games Silver Medalist

He is an American freestyle wrestler and 2004 Olympic games Silver Medalist

Lilo Asansi

2nd Degree Black Belt

Lilio is from Alicante, Spain and for three years has been living in Hamburg teaching BJJ at KB gym and Budu point She is also active on the competition scene as a referee. Lilo was the first woman in Spain to get a black belt in BJJ.

Yoga Instructors

Jelena Leiberberg

Jelena started practicing yoga at age 12 with a Croatian book from her mother. After working as a presentress for German TV and touring as a singer, she took her first yoga teacher training in 2009 and has been teaching since then. She currently lives in Berlin as a Yoga instructor, Writer, Naturopath and Speaker.

Pilar de Miguel

Pilar has been practicing different styles of yoga for years, but when she discovered Ashtanga Yoga in 2014, she instantly fell in love with this practice, as she deeply connected with the profound and transformative experience of combining breath and meditation with movement. She quit her job in the international media field and started traveling to Mysore, India, to practice with her teacher and Guru, Sharath Jois.

Mallorca is the pearl of Spain's Balearic Islands. The most popular destination the Mediterranean, Mallorca is known for its beautiful coastline, secluded coves, limestone mountains, Spanish architecture, wineries and fresh produce farms, and stunning beaches.

 Training Facilities

The camp organizer booked the whole 1.5 hectares 5 Star Grand Melia Hotel located directly on the Mediterranean sea booked exclusively for this event! The resort is guided by a hedonist culture of rest and relaxation, unique to the island.

Day 2-5 October 27th-30th
Seminars all day! Jump in, jump out! Kick off the morning with an amazing breakfast buffet and then follow it up with some morning classes. Enjoy the beautiful hotel grounds and treat yourself to a relaxing vacation experience. Explore the island or sleep by the pool, it’s up to you! On the last night of the festival there will be a closing fiesta with seafood/vegetable BBQ and tapas dinner.

Joe Notebaert is originally from Phoenix Arizona, USA and he is a travel consultant. He received his black belt from Cesar Lima approved by Roger Gracie in 2017 after 9 1/2 years of training. Learn more about Joe see his interview.
