Elizabeth Kirchmeier

Elizabeth has over 10 years of teaching experience with women, men and children in jiu jitsu, self defense, fitness, and kickboxing. She is looking forward to teaching classes in both gi and no gi. The gi classes will focus on sport jiu jitsu, while the no gi classes will have a self defense focus.

U.S. Virgin Islands

Saint Croix is an island in the Caribbean Sea and is part of the US Virgin Islands. The US Virgin Islands are a territory of the United States of America and as such US Citizens may visit without a passport.

In January you can expect the weather to be warm and dry, with highs around 83F and lows around 72F. This is a great place to go to escape the cold!

Lodging and Transportation

Choose from 4 nights of lodging (Jan 26-Jan 30), including airport transfers and transportation to all camp events, or book your own lodging nearby!

With lodging you get more than a place to sleep, you’ll be based at our social hub putting you in the heart of the action. This is where we’ll be having the Dinner Welcome Party and the Goodbye Brunch Party. This wonderful community area lends itself to spontaneous get-togethers, playing music (instruments provided!) or games, and building friendships.

Traveling with your male partner? In that case, the island has tons of lovely rentals available! We recommend booking near Christiansted or near Cane Bay as these are convenient to our planned activities. You’ll also want to arrange for a rental car – we recommend making the rental car reservations early!

Bunk in a shared room

A shared room in a bunkhouse with a shared bathroom is located in the house, as well as access to a community bathhouse.

Private room

Private rooms will be in either a historic cottage or quaint bamboo bungalows and will contain either a king or queen size bed. The cottage offers a shared bathroom located in the house. The bungalows are located near the community bathhouse.

Historic Sugar Mill Lodging

The Sugar Mill Room is inside a renovated historical sugar mill built in 1769. The top floor has been converted to a bedroom with a twin daybed, and two large windows that create a nice cross breeze. A winding staircase (with a small 1/2 bath halfway down the stairs, tucked into an alcove) leads to the main floor bedroom with Queen bed, coffee/tea/wine station and many cultural artifacts as well as an observation porch. Outside, another winding staircase will take you down to the common area, community kitchen, bar, and full private bathroom. (YES, the full bath is located in the back of the community kitchen, but it is reserved solely for Sugar Mill guest use only.) As a guest in this Estate Room, you will have full access to all these beautiful spaces.

This space is not suitable for young children or those who have trouble navigating lots of steps as the stairs are winding and potentially hazardous.

NOTE: This space can be shared with other camp guests, if you are traveling with friends. Please let us know if other campers will be staying with you and we’ll be able to let you know what additional costs you may need to pay for transportation fees and the like.

There will be one Jiu Jitsu seminar held daily and 3 island adventures.

Adventures will include a guided hiking trip, a night-kayak in a bioluminescent bay, and a beach day with optional snorkeling!

Enjoy social life every day and night in our communal social area. We’ve got games, instruments, and the company of 24 of your newest friends to make new memories with!
